I picked up a Hasbro TFA X-wing with visions of upgrading it and was dismayed at the crookedness of the cannons. I figured others may have similar sentiments so I'm starting this thread.
To start off with I created a jig to fix the cannons and uploaded it to Thingiverse. Now anyone with a 3D printer can straighten out the cannons in a precise easy manner and greatly improve the look of the toy.
You can find it here if you are interested: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1363262
Other considered upgrades, keeping in mind that I want this to remain a toy.
A new nose that is straight.
Solid wing inserts for the bottoms of the wings.
Detailed insert fills for the inner wing cavities.
So far I'm very pleased with just the cannon improvement.

The Jig

After - Cruise mode

After - Attack mode
