Amazing job... Never done a ship so far, and was looking at getting one similar, however, I would not go with so many PE parts.... Any other one without the PE?

thanks.. i found with this kit , you can use as much or as little Pe as you want. not sure if they make a non "platinum" edition of either this one or the fletcher , which are almost the same. the out of box pieces will make a nice model no doubt

I'm no expert on ship models, not even sorta, but I think anything larger than 1/700th is going to have some PE.

There are still quite a few 1/350 scale ships that come stock without photo etch. Tamiya kits unless marked deluxe or premium, will not have PE included. Trumpeter has a few as well as some other brands. There are a few kits that have very basic PE included, but you can build them without using them. HTH
