Just started building the1/48 scale hawker typhoon kit from hassagawa and man this thing is not coming together has anyone built this kit and ran into problems everything from the cockpit area to putting the fuselage halves together - everything seems to be off help!!;

Watching the video, I see your problem regarding the cockpit. I absolutely hate building those types of cockpits in aircrafts kits. The Eduard Yak-1b (even though it is an Academy kit) the cockpit is an absolute nightmare to build. Very delicate especially with PE parts involved for instrument panels. Even WW1 subjects have those cockpit assembly.

Any D-Day striping decals, I never use them period. Why? D-Day stripes were never clean and straight. I handpaint my own. I never use straight up flat white, only off-white.
