Wow what an amazing site. I'm absolutely blown away by some of the work that has and is being done.

I just started getting back into it after a 20 plus year hiatus, lol. I needed some kind of stress reliever and I think I have found it. Hopefully I can pick up some good tips and learn as I go. One day hopefully I'll be able to turn out something that looks half as good as most of the pics I've seen on here. I've always like the birds from WWII so that is what I'm into right now. Anyways, glad to be here.

Welcome, PennHoo, nice to greet another Landsmann in the Herd. Whereabouts in PA are you? I'm in Bethlehem.

Hey, Hooterville! Did we talk about this before? Are you near Sunbury and Northumberland? That's where my pop is from, and we still have family up there.

Also, if you ever get into figures, you should go to Milton and visit Chuck Robinson's Red Lancers shop. Chuck is a stand-up dealer, has a great selection, and also has a great display of finished figures of all kinds. He does the show circuit, too.

Im about 20 minutes from Selinsgrove, PA and a half hour from Sunbury/Northumberland. They have a little hobby shop out in Sunbury but its not that good and very overpriced. I actually have family a little further up Route 61 in Paxinos, PA. Uncle owns a big racing team in Paxinos where the driver is actually from Milton, PA. Small world huh haha. I used to hang out in Sunbury alot in my older teen years with a few kids that went to Shikellamy High School. I have never really ventured into Minatures yet as Im still cherry at this and just got my feet wet with automobiles. Once I get some better techniques etc Ill venture into some different genres. I would be willing to check the shop out in Milton though sometimes as Im always into supporting local hobby shops. Maybe a bit farther then what you would call local but I have to drive a half hour anyway you drive to get to the closest hobby shop. So Milton really isnt more then a hour or so from me. Thanks for that info. Ill hit you up with a private message to talk more about it I dont want to hijack this thread haha.

Wow, a lot of fellow Pennsylvanians here. Thanks for the greetings.

Scranton?! The Coney Island Lunch Counter and Texas Hot Wieners! As good as Yocco's. We used to do a send trip up there during pledging to bring back dogs for the brothers.

It was at Coney Island Lunch and at a place in Norristown next to the county courthouse, that I ever found a place that made chili dogs like we have here. It's not gloopy, thick, Hormel chili, like you get on a dog at WaWa or Scheetz, but a sauce. I remember, too, the cook at Coney Island would line the buns up on his arm, 4 or 5 at a time, and make the dogs that way. We said the secrect was in his sweat :D

Oh Yeah. I'll link their history below, pretty interesting reading and some good photos. Including the wieners on the arm.
