Hello from Western Pennsylvania

Howdy Jeff. You don't have a problem, your addiction is safe amongst us friends, cause we're all in pretty much the same boat. So, look at it this way. Many of your friends retire without a hobby and go nuts, die early, or go back to work, while us "paint sniffers'' just keep on pluggin away. See, ain't so bad:oops:;)

Welcome aboard! Cheers, Ski.

P.S. That Tiger collection could be construed as having an addiction, I'll give ya that.
That's not even all of the Tigers I have. lol I have a bunch of project or "Paper Panzers" hidden away. Glad to be here, amongst the other addicts, that's for sure.

Hi, I'm Jeff and I'm a Modelholic. ( Hi ,Jeff) It's been less than a day since my last modeling session. I began building models back in the early 70s. I build mostly 1/35 Armor with a few 1/35 and 1/32 planes thrown in for good measure. I started out with Tamiya and Monogram kits. I never really stopped building. I had a short break while I was in the Army but picked right back up after that. I have a stash of 1/35 kits that I'll never get to build. I'm trying to increase my production since I retired. I think we are really living in the golden age of modeling. There are just so many new manufacturers and products coming out every single day. It boggles the mind. (it doesn't take much to boggle my mind) I am happy to have found this site. I've already seen some fantastic work here and look forward to seeing more. Thanks for having me and I look forward to interacting with you armor guys.

Thanks. I'm about 220 miles west of you, around Pittsburgh. I graduated in the Harrisburg area though. Do you ever attend the AMPS armor show in Connecticut? It's really not that far from you. Glad to be here.

Welcome to the Herd, Jeff! Some nice builds and starts for your introductory post. I look forward to seeing more of that stash built!

Best regards,
Brad

Thanks. I used to live in South Central PA in the Harrisburg area. I've been out your way several times. I'll try and get on the stash right away. lol

Connecticut, is not out of the question, but not for AMPS. There is actually an AMPS chapter in Indian Town Gap, that I believe will be hosting the International show at Camp Hill.
A mutual friend of mine is a member of the Three Rivers IPMS club out there.

Thanks. It's the Meng kit. It's a nice kit. I'm not a blogger. I'll post pics when it's finished.

Welcome!

Ya gotta be a blogger here. Showing only finished kits means that you could be faking it. :p

Show the build if you can. It's the addict's way to confirm acceptance here! LOL I haven't been here too long myself and am just guessing about that. I work on showing my failures and wins. Humble pie brings knowledge. ;)

Be well. Model on.

Eric

3 Rivers AMPS is the AMPS group I'm in. Who is your friend? I know most of the guys. I'll be going to the Harrisburg show in May.
