Hey guys, i'm Matt, i've been collecting models for most of my 20 years, but have only really gotten into it in the past 2-3. Pretty small collection at the moment, all cars-
Hot Wheels 1:18 Ferrari 599 GTO (collectors edition, I love it)
Maisto 1:18 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera
1:24 2010 Ford Mustang Boss 302
1:36 Unknown brand Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8
Lots of hot wheels lol.
Built my first model this year, only a snaploc Tamiya kit, but my favourite car- a 1:24 '88 Toyota AE92 Sprinter Trueno GTZ, a rather rare kit apparently?
Also have an even rarer AE92 Corolla FX-GT in the making, but its complicated. Lets just say I modified the axles and cant use them anymore.
ALSO have a 1:24 Nissan Skyline R34 GTR diecast model (unknown brand) that i'm modifying at the moment- putting some new wheels on it, repainting it, detailing some bits up as much as I can.
Need a little guidance on a couple of things.
Firstly, where would I get a pair of new Tamiya snaploc 1:24 axles?
How do I go about getting a sticker sheet from Tamiya, as i'll need all the GTR/V-Spec etc ones for my Skyline.
Anyway- heres a couple of photos of a small part of my collection
Gold leaf with Smoke (both Tamiya acrylics) over the top gives a pretty genuine looking Volk anodized bronze finish.
Currently in project status, here with the interior stripped out, headlights removed etc.
My 3 display Volk RE30s, unfortunately the fourth broke, so I decided to paint them the 3 different real world finishes I like most (mercury silver, anodized bronze and black)
Further into project status, i've modified one 'hub' to take Fujimi wheels, i'll do the same to the others when my wheels- a set of 19" Advan RZ's- turn up, which should be mid this week. The car will be painted white, and i'll paint the lip on the front bumper black as its meant to be, and I think the wheels will be white as well.
So yeah otherwise, I do photography and am into real cars ahah, I own a very humble AE92 Corolla Seca, its my real pride and joy and hopefully it'll be running a 4AGE by the end of the year- i've lost my license til July, so its also in project status at the moment
