Hi all :)

Moving on with the second Bike ,this will be my last one for a while ,got more wingys to do :)

Made a start with the Frame & swinging arm ,these come with a polished aluminium finish ,which is very nice ,There is a few light mold seams ,but where they are placed they wont show on the finished build .

Im going to run a nice pin wash around the welds to pop them out a bit .....

I pu the bulk of the engine together too ,I need to paint this along with a lot of bits before continuing .....

I'll be back soon with some painted bits ;D

Thanks for looking.

Chris.

oh very nice Chris, got a bit of a 2 wheel bug then ::)

i will be following this one closely, good luck. ;) it looks's to be a nice kit and has the finer details lacking from the old kits.

Hi ya fella's Thanks for dropping in ;)

Ok , Having decided the finish on the frame was just a bit bright for me I went with a wash of Smoke to kill it a bit . I think it has worked pretty well .
I took the pics on a blue background cause it was to hard to see on the white ::)

I got a little bit done , The wheels were painted & decaled ,I scrubbed the seam from the tyres with some wet & dry ,and I built most of the rear end .Still need to add the shock and a few other little bits ......

The progress you are making looks like you may just get this one finished before i finish the yammy ;) looking good so far.

Hi chaps :)

Sorry about the delay in getting back to this one ,but I had a few other things needing done , Anyhoo ..... ;D

I managed to get back at the RCV for a bit today . I painted up most of the engine parts ,as usual I basecoated in Black before putting the colour on ,then verything was sealed up with Klear .Still more parts to go on it ,but I'll do some washes and detail painting first .

Again some nice looking engine work Chris!!! I like the exhaust too Mr. Bike!!

The engines looks great Chris, i like the effects you get from the different paint types.
Did i read it right, you say you give it a coat of Klear between coats and washes what benifits does this have?

Jay

Your heat staining has come out really well, alot better than mine did :) but after lots of trys and fails i realised that when the exhausts are on the bike they look totally different and give it a much more natural look than when seen alone.

I like it man. You didn't go overboard on the stains and I believe that'll work in your favor.

Thanks guys :) Feeling a bit happier with the exhausts now ,and anyway most of them cant be seen once the bike is finished !!

Jay ,I put a coat of klear on after the paint ,this is to protect the paint from the enamel washes . The washes will pop out all the nice detail on the engine and kill of the 'Painted plastic' look ;)

Chris.
