Well, finally I get to post a build on this thing! This is the Multi-Verse Models kit. Love the kit, and like I said in another thread, it is a master of design! Love the ship or hate it, the pattern and casting are the best I've seen! I only get a chance to build maybe once a week and not for very long, so updates will only be weekly, if that. The good news is I built last week and this week so I have pics for 2 week in a row - and it's going very fast, so it might only be one more Saturday to finish!
But on to the build:
Here's the parts:
I had a plan for this build before I even ordered one. Which is very rare. So the first thing I did (even before washing the parts) was apply some premask to the body so I could plot out where I wanted stripes:
Then I scanned them and drew them up in illustrator. More on this later....
I then moved on to paint. The top body parts and the wings are sprayed a metallic orange, while the rest was sprayed black:
Painted the interior. I wanted to get this to look like old upholstery. Ripped seat and all. At this scale, the ripped seat kind of looked like I just missed a spot painting. So I kind of yellowed the "ripped" spots. Sorry about the pics - My camera's not great at close ups. I want to use a good camera to get the finished shots, though.
Have to upload some more pics, then I will post today's work!
