I need a break.... (LAV-25 Build)

(Finished) Re: I need a break.... (LAV-25 Build)

Alright folks...

Since this was just a quick get out of my M-ATV funk, I didn't do too much to it. Just got the rest of the stuff painted, gave it a little bit of a light dusting of sand and now I'm moving on. I do not want to go anywhere near the M-ATV so I'm going to work on a little (actually a monster) chopper in the "air" forum.

Thanks for watching!!!

Looks good Adam,

Looking at those 3 kits side by side, the M-ATV looks to be out of scale.....are they really that big? I mean an Abrams is a huge tank, and the M-ATV is just as big. I was under the impression that they weren't much bigger than a Humvee, and a Humvee is dwarfed beside an Abrams.

True, I know they are bigger than a normal Humvee (mostly just higher because of the V hull), but didn't think they were as a big as a tank, heck it even dwarfs the LAV, which is a fairly sizable vehicle itself.

Ya, I totally argree with your assesment of the kit being out of scale. I think because it's Kinetic's first attempt at armor they may have missed the mark on the "scale" aspect. Heck it's not the only thing they missed on. Once its done I'm sure it will be a fairly good representation of the M-ATV though. I was just telling Norm that I will finish it before the deadline but for now its on hold. Since I am so far along I think I can leave it for at least two more weeks.

Nice to see a model being built for "FUN". I didn't think that was and option with A.M.S. (Advanced Modelers Syndrome)
