I am finding the WWI aircraft at 1/48 is really small. The fuselage for the Fokker E III Eindecker I just received is 123mm (4.8in).

Very small. My tri-wing is about 3 ¾" it has proven to be quite the challenge.

If you think 1/48 scale bi-plane is small, try doing one in 1/72 scale. I'm currently working on the Heller 1/72 scale Bucker Bu 133 Jungmeister

I wouldn't be able to see it and my fat fingers would just be in the way. HA!!

I'm beginning to feel that part of this hobby is "growing the stash". Couldn't resist a 1/48 Revelle Memphis Bell, won't be built to that but to Paul Tibbets's Red Gremlin.
