Italeri Flanker D 1:72

Thanks Scott!
I think this is one of the more complicated camouflage schemes I've done (maybe the Hanriot was more involved). All those colours kind of diminished the pre-shade (for sake of speed I didn't do black coats between colours - like I normally do).

I've been really busy at work (it's that end of the semester time again), so I have not spent very much time building anything at all. I've managed to pick away at the detail painting as well as slowly adding smaller assemblies to the fuselage. I hope to gloss coat and decal maybe this weekend. I'll post some photos once I've made some substantial progress.

Small update today. Mostly everything is assembled - I didn't like the fit/attachment of the landing gear bay doors. The detail painting is pretty much done, I've got a few small areas to touch up after decals. Last night I gloss coated. Next up I'm going to start the decals, and soon the missiles.

Thanks John. Thanks Q. :)

I'm working on the decals. I love building 1:72 scale aircraft, until I get to the decalling stage. About a quarter done...

Now with decals… ;D
Some weathering and a flat coat to come.

Thanks for taking a look.

Are you taking this one to the meeting?

Hope so, if I get it done in time.

I'm calling this one done. The pictures look not too bad, but I'm not 100% happy with this one - I tried some new painting and weathering techniques - typically I use chalks and oil paints, this time I only used acrylic paints. It worked out so-so. More practice will be required. I didn't bother doing much to the bottom side, so I didn't photo it.

I'm still debating the missiles, they are not that nice out of the box…
Thanks for checking in and following along.
