Continuing with the suspension/dif's ... Assembled and weathered the tires, knuckes and brake hubs.
Also ran metal air lines from flex line to the hub thru the knuckle... Thanks for looking..
A bit more done tonight... Weathering the wheels.. Tires, the usual, sanded the sheen off... couple layers of washes then highlight... Thanks for looking...
A little weathering on the lower hull.. Where it should make contact with earth.. Don't want to do a lot of weathering on this one, a bit on the lower hull and dust/sand on the upper hull... Still have a bit
left to weather on the lower hull..
Thanks for looking..
Next made a latch for the door for the rear access door then set the door.. Can't finish the other side of the frame until installed.. Thanks for looking...
Able to start a bit on the exterior.. Started on the rear deck lid over the engine... Pre-weathered the hand holds with pigments.... Thanks for looking...
Slowed a bit due to work but got a bit more done...
Started on the turret motor and assembly, tried several different things for the gear ring for the turret and finally cut down a zip tie and painted it Vallejo Aluminum.. Made the motor and housing from sprue and card and the worm gear, cut the head off a screw...and for the head gear cut out the center of a plastic gear from a VCR.... Thanks for looking..
In today's exciting episode found some material that fit close to the size of a cargo pocket for the rear access area..
Next finally mounted the seat assembly in the turret basket and made a communications port from card and used sprue from rear tail lights, stretched it and a small pc for the power lamp.. Also made a low vis red lamp for interior with the same red clear plastic..... Thanks for looking...
Next will start on the interior wheel arch armor. Set the 1st pc. Looks to have 2/3 latches to open for replacement/access to the area??? but made a pc from card, hinge from rod and latches from brass sheet...
Thanks for looking....
