merseajohn's Anigrand 1/144 Tie Defender

Fantastic work on that canopy. You've transformed it from what looked like an old dried up contact lens into a Tie Fighter canopy!! And the colour and shading is incredible!!!

Tiny little cockpit canopy. . . how did you do that!? I see folks complain about masking off 1/48 scale aircraft canopies! Great work, I am (as always) impressed.

Thanks guys! Canopy was painted free hand with Vallejo London grey and Black 50/50. Got her finished:

Wow John...so tiny but huge on looking sweet!!! Thanks for sharing!!! ;)

Actually I love the look of the Defender! And it's powerful too. It certainly owned the battlefield when I flew it in X-Wing vs Tie. Great game that.

Awesome job with this, John. Love the tiny detail and that canopy! Terrific. 8)

Aaaah, sweet memories about the old days... TIE-Fighter Simulator... that time the grass was greener, and tastes were sweeter.. ;D
Great job with this one! And what a good time: days before BSC - so great moments for building lots of weekend-kits, when else would we destract from our uber-projects? ;)

I see your still turning out quality mate.......you may be a bigger SW fan than me :p

Thanks Erik! I really should stop playing with tiny things.....thats what she said!!

I can't get over how great that little thing looks. Curious as to how you painted the glass. By hand perhaps? Doesn't really matter....it's just freaky good.
