Biggest piece of advice I can give you is to use the waste plastic from the sheets that the building parts are on as support pieces inside the 2 halves of a wall. There are always plenty of the waste plastic left over, and makes lining up and securing the 2 halves of the wall units much easier.
Couple of other things, use the back of a #11 Xacto blade to cut out the parts on the vacuform sheets, may have to scrape a few times. A panel line scriber works well also. For glue, I find any normal styrene cement works well, but the good old fashioned Testors tube glue really works well as you can get it to ooze out of the seams, making filling seems easier, as you basically just cut/sand off the excess glue.
small update... been slow at the bench lately. I've decided to add the miniart soviet 57mm anti-tank gun ziz-2 w/crew to the diorama.
Assembled one of the small buildings and spent a little more time building the gun and crew
This will be a slow build as I have been busy with work and the kids. Going to continue with the buildings and gun, might also add or remove some things as I go. I have another soviet kit in the stash that might make its way here as well.
Thanks for stopping by, questions, comments and critiques welcome!
