That is wicked. Man, I love this. That illusion is perfect (might have to borrow that sometime).

Now you're totally making me want to build this kit. Sweet work man. Keep at it.

eh up all.
i`ve managed to finish off the maintenance ramp, with some yellow enamel which took 2 coats and once it had dried i rubbed down certain areas where you could think hands and feet had been.finally i used tamiya weathering powders(just the oil stain) to mucky it up abit!
GEDC2342.jpg

next i started on the power generator knockin up a box for the top section which has some fibre optics in it some of them .50 and 2mm thick.
GEDC2332.jpg

i made up a control panel for each end the side with the grab handles, the handles were made of soldering wires
GEDC2329.jpg
GEDC2331.jpg

the lighting tube was made from the clear needle holder from my spray gun
GEDC2218.jpg
GEDC2221-1.jpg
GEDC2240.jpg

here is where i`m at now,so all i`ve got to do is mount it and place the LED bulb underneath to light the tube and the fibre optics at the top
GEDC2341.jpg
hope ya like the progress so far.....

cheers peza :)

Very cool man. Great little elements you're building here.

eh up buddy, sorry i read ya profile! eh up mym8,cheers it`s comin together nicely.
i`ve done some more images of the power gen and ramp in position so how it look at the mo
GEDC2365.jpg
GEDC2366.jpg
GEDC2381.jpg
GEDC2383.jpg

and finally i started on 1 of my crewman and whilest gettin drunk with my cousin i said it would be good to have a crewman with a workin torch in his hand.
so i started off using these figures due to some of the various poses they had.
GEDC2390.jpg

next i used r kid`s pin vice and my dremel firstly to drill through the leg section then the body and brought the drill out under his arm.
GEDC2372.jpg
then i put the fibre optic through the figure the optic`s was 2mm thick i was gonna use some .50 but it didnt look right..then usin a solderin iron bent a right angle on the fibre optic cable.
GEDC2380.jpg
also on the image above you can see that the arm i`ve fitted i had to change his arm position because he was holdin a rifle.
next i filed the inside of his arm so that it appears that it`s fibre optic is`nt there, which took 2 cut`s,1 on the arm by the elbow and the wrist and then used some miliput to fill the sleeve back over.
GEDC2388.jpg
GEDC2389.jpg
so there you go ace that`s where i`m at at the mo!!
thanks for the kind words!!....cheers peza
