Hi everyone. It's been a while. I don't huild scale models anymore. I prefer to build my own things.

I have almost finish the first tile of my new WWII miniature wargaming terrain. There are some details I need to add because I am a perfectionnist. I am planning on building several tiles like these that can be switched to increase the variety of terrain.

What do you think? I am very open to comments and suggestions because I always want to improve.

Nice work!
I'm not in the know about war gaming, but very interested to know what you used to build the first tile... great blend of colours, especially like the little hill.
The dimensions are about 24" on a side?
And for what scale vehicles?
Do you start off with a particular theater/period in mind?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm sure the folks who build dioramas can give more useful feedback!
Cheers

What games, paper/carboard and die? I used to play a LOT of Avalon Hill games, but a computer can take that 3-hour turn and calculate in 3 seconds. Yet I still love the genre.

Regarding what I see in the pictures...
  • Your terrain is excellent.
  • I assume late spring, there's no mud.
  • That PzIV is fucked as are the transports.

For the ground, I covered the plexiglas tile with tile grout. Then, I spread real clay that I took from an agricultural land. For the trees and shrubs, it's made by Woodland Scenics.

This tile is designed for a 6mm wargaming terrain.

I have choosen to represent western Europe during Second World War.

I bought a rulebook called Nuts: WW2 combat.

Thanks for the comments.

Looks great!

Is that for Flames of War?

Thanks. No, Flams of War is 15mm. My tile is made for a 6mm game.
