Next Build — My wife's late grandfather's farm truck.

Great work picking out the detail on this Chassis. Exterior details are really coming together.

Can't wait to see what's next

Are you airbrushing?

Thank you. Yes I'm using an airbrush, it's working out pretty good.

This evening I added a dusty/grimy coat to the paint. It helped in softening up the paint and primers.
I think this build might turn out alright after all.

I think this is finished. It's not exactly like the photos above, but it's similar. I had to guess the condition and color of the hood (bonnet, for my Brit friends) :p I added some light grey and used Tamiya Weathering Master Orange Rust. Also, I had to guess what color to paint the bed, so I just went with black and scuffed it up with some rust just like the hood, The wheels are after market and I use a umber and sepia wash.
Tomorrow I'll straighten the grill and rust up a spot on right side of the bumper then add the iconic "bow tie." Then probably shoot a gey and umber wash to dull the crome down.
This was an old farm truck he used on his ranch, he was a "real cowboy" roping and branding his calfs and cattle. Before that he served in WWII as a mechanic under the command of General Geroge S. Patton. After the war he went back being a cowboy.
Unfortunately, I never got to meet him. He died in 2001, I think. Christi's grandmother recently died about 2 years ago. She was a real pistol lol.

Anyway, here's the truck.

That's really cool, I like it. Pantherman.

Sorry just saw this. Yes I did use an airbrush for this build.
I'm still learning how to use and control the airbrush.
