Hi all,

my first project post - so please be gentle

This project was actually done in September last year.

It is a complete scratch build APC for the Warhammer 40K universe - the accompanying troopers are modified Imperial Guard soldiers and the laser, muzzle flash and flamethrower effects are scuplted using Pro Create.

I started off with a rough drawing


Which I then built up to the track sections


and the hull


together with some details it resulted in this PONOS APC


in this scene


After painting the diorama base it looked like this


And the finished diorama with all paint effects






As collage:

"I love the smell of fresh napalm in the morning"



This diorama shows Major Reismann and members of his platoon - nicknamed "Monster Hunter Intergalactical" - beating back an Ork attack on Dencara 5. While fighting dismounted they receive fire support from their PONOS APC.

Question from a "noob."

How do you get the "Blast" effect? What do you use to mold the actual blast? I'm in the process of building a diorama and would like to incorporate this effect.

And I would agree - that would be very cool to see some WIP pics if any, or, maybe, read a bit about the technology of those awesome blasting and lava effects crafting.

Absolutely fab stuff mate......i love WH40K and have only just started to get into the painting side of the hobby but this makes me wanna abandon my DA's and start an IG regiment lol
