Parts Count, How Much Is Too Much

We've got the best of both worlds folks

Thats for sure. Even after everything I just wrote I am eagerly waiting for AFV Club's M1132 Stryker Engineer Squad Vehicle to show up. The mine plow on that thing alone is insane in the parts count.

Yeah the M1132 surface plow is a kit on its own !

Not sure how to answer that one John... it is true that some kits are .>>over engineered ! you even see Dragon stepping back from their 3 in 1 ... and going back to a "Week ender" type of Assembly in some of their Orange box kits... like Squadron was doing a while back... those are good ideas....

but there are those out there... that are like.. Watch makers.... the more parts the merrier they get !

that's why some are still doing tanks with Closed hatches..... and forget about the full interior that came with the kit... and use those parts for Kit bashing other stuff !!

Its a hard question and I'm glad you brought it here.... it is interesting to read the others... and find out what they think of it !!!

Later !

All the Cyber-Hobby/Dragon Orange box kits are, are pretty much Dragon's old Imperial series kits, with a few new bits added (Magic Tracks normally) and a set of older figures. Just Dragon's way of stretching out the molds they already have....nothing that they have taken "a step back" from, just trying to get as much coin out of the old molds that they can.

If its a subject I'm interested in and the parts are decently detailed, parts count is irrelevant to me also..
