I remember riding in those loud SOBs!I dont have a lot left on the Huey. Hopefully I will finish it up today. If not, Ill wrap her up early next week then dive into this.
LOL Yeah, they aint quiet. I imagine the newer ones arent as bad. I could be wrong. LOL I flew on 141s, and let me tell you, when those engines wound up it was hard to hear yourself. Once you got past take off and were cruising, it wasnt as bad.I remember riding in those loud SOBs!
I find it funny in the movies they show the characters talking normally.
I know its just a a movie, and for entertainment. But, there is no way to talk normal. You could shout at someone next to you and they might hear you. Lol
Normally we just sat there waiting for our landing.
Looking forward to seeing your build.
I remember taking a 141 from Germany back to the states. The first things the flight crew did is pass out ear plugs and a blanket to passengers.LOL Yeah, they aint quiet. So, I sat at the bench for a couple hours. Yeah, its gonna be next week before I wrap her up. BUT, most of the fiddly bits are on now.
Yep!!! That was the loadmaster doing that. Which is what I did. They weren't built for comfort. But they were one of the best cargo planes ever.I remember taking a 141 from Germany back to the states. The first things the flight crew did is pass out ear plugs and a blanket to passengers.
Loud and cold.
Looks like a great start. Thanks for the heads up on the tiny bits.Well, brothers. I'm sorry I just could not wait so I started on the eduard Fokker Dr 1.
I just started last night. The cockpit is very fiddly.
There are many very tiny PE parts and thin plastic parts. I've had one break, but managed to reassemble it.
Be careful on cutting the parts off the tree and the PE sheet.

Let's ask Pantherman about if we start a new thread or notShould we start a new thread or just use this one?
Happy to start a new thread but we have alot of information on this one, leaving it up to you. PanthermanShould we start a new thread or just use this one?
I think I'm going to need better glasses by the sounds of it. PanthermanWell, brothers. I'm sorry I just could not wait so I started on the eduard Fokker Dr 1.

I think I might need to switch to a stronger pair too. Some of the PE parts and some need bending, these are so small.... and I didn't even lose that part.I think I'm going to need better glasses by the sounds of it. Pantherman
Agreed. If y'all agree, let's keep using this thread.Happy to start a new thread but we have alot of information on this one, leaving it up to you. Pantherman

No worries. At least you can see all our mistakes so your build should be outstanding. PanthermanGentlemen, it looks like I will not be joining in on this group build
I will be done with the Dauntless in a day or two and then I will be breaking down the bench and clearing out the room for new flooring and paint.
I will have to do this build at a later date.
I will be tracking your progress closely.
I understand. All of us can build in the next group build.Gentlemen, it looks like I will not be joining in on this group build

I would need a 20x magnifier for that.Another thing with tiny parts is the new medication the doctor gave to me makes me a little shaky. Putting parts together is a bit of a challenge lol
Like the one pictured below.
