Hello forum, been a while since I've posted anything, not that I was very active. I did start working on the Polar Lights 1/1000 NX-01 kit. I don't have many progress photos but pretty pleased where it is at today. I'm still painting the small details, then will decal it, and add a wash. My goal with this model is to finish it and not bogging myself down with trying to make it perfect.

Pictures to come but put in a little more work. Masked off some areas and airbrushed the bridge gold and hit the aft vents with some aluminum color. Mask pulled off a little of the hull paint so will have to touch that up.

I am painting the light coming out of the windows and I'm torn on what to do, looking for any suggestions. Either I paint them all or leave some dark.

Does anyone have any reasoning why I should paint them all (look better)?

For the ones unpainted I was thinking of either putting black paint or some black wash in the window to make it dark.

Thanks!

Ok, got my decals and then froze. I couldn't decide if the Aztec should go on before the ISS yellow markings or after. Anyone have a suggestion?

HI I THINK you shoud fit the aztec decals firstly as yes i know about them aztekin decals as i had the big 1/350 aztek decal for my ENTERPRIZE A an yes i chickened out fittin them as they were so big an decals sometimes splinter so i gave them a miss but your in a smaller scale should go on ok in my opinion

I like to brush aztec decals with a couple of coats of liquid decal film to toughen them up before application; especially if they look to be thin and fragile. In the event they rip or fragment just keep the pieces wet on the model and float them back together, then wait five or ten minutes and give them a quick brush with liquid decal film to seal the pieces together. One coat only.

HI TRECRIFIC yes you are right in what you say an ive done that loads of times with my decals but my aztecin was so big about 2ft sqaure an 20 odd sheets of it it just gave me the screameis so i dint put it on
