Don't know if this has been posted before but if it has, Apologies, just in case it hasn't I've devised a cheap alternative for
radiator pipework and the like for Cars Motorcycles etc, it involves the use of heat shrink tubing, it comes in a box
like this from amazon, various sizes, lengths, and Colours, I'm sure a quick search would find you the right diameter
or AWG

Also, computer / phone USB leads that you can get braided types in different colours, I've bared the last inch revealing the actual wire
inside, clasped the end with pliers and pulled off the sleeving, thus giving you an open end for gluing
