Raptor Rider

I posted a couple progress photos of the raptor a while back and have now finished the rider.
I'm not to happy with the way it came out. I was getting a bit impatient and made quite a few mistakes. One being I didn't like the skin tone so I stripped it down and started over. Still didn't like it so I tried camouflaging it with some Celtic war paint! Didn't quite have the effect I was hoping.
Only my second figure so all in all, I not to disappointed with it. I'm learning a lot about painting figures so that's a good thing!
Any comments, suggestions are welcome.

Yes I'm planning to. Was trying to decide if I should use real leather strips or painting some aluminum foil.
