Got a bit more done on this one . :)

I've done a bit more to the face ,still not finished with the facial hair . I've also worked on the scarf/blanket wrapped around his head & neck , then started on the Redingote / greatcoat .Still more to do on this too . Sorry it looks a bit shiney ,the oils are still damp .

Thought I'd do a quick update while having a chicken curry lunch :) ....yum lol

Still working on the doomed Grenadier . I have worked on the trousers ,belts and fringed Epaulettes. The belts are pretty much just blocked in and still require highlights,shadows and a fine pin wash around the edges to clean them up .
I took these photos in daylight ,hopefully it shows the colours better .

Great work, Chris! I think you have done a great job capturing the agony on the downed soldier's face.

Nice reference to "The Duellists", too, it is an excellent movie, with some of my favorite British character actors supporting Keith Carradine and Harvey Keitel. The uniforms alone are worth watching the movie.

Looking forward to seeing your progress on this vignette!

All the equipment has been painted and added ,Still have to do his other hand ,boots and a bit more work on the white belts . .....Getting there ....slowly . ???

The colour look bang on and the back pack looks like quality you can all most feal the fur keep up the good work and posts
