With all my current projects in the paint phase, and I since I can't use my garage paint booth for the week (I brush paint very little), I have to start a new project! I'll be kit-bashing these Revell and (I think) Encore P-11C kits since both have missing parts. Neither had a box, nor instructions, but I found some on Scalemates. I might be able to salvage the decals, I won't know until I soak them, but I have a feeling they'll crumble.

That wing profile so pronounced! Almost organic like a gull... must have been great for visibility.
As an early (I assume) monoplane, did it have good performance?

Man i cannot wait to see this finished.
I have a number of Polish Interwar and WWII kits...some of them pretty rough and needing the kind of shaping, sanding and just plain ol' subsitutionary new scratchbuilt parts altogether....but theyre Polish aviation subjects so Im determined to see them through and putting in the work.
Thank you for showing your work

This is what happens when you use the old brittle decal, which I then put it on wrong (red square goes in upper left corner I realized), so I peeled it up and repositioned it. And then I made the same stupid mistake on the other side! Glad it's under the wing, as its staying like this.

You ain't the first, or the last!

Up, down, right, left, all seems to go out the window when the build is upside down.

Now, when I see the danger signs, I've taken to placing the instructions as close to the model as possible, in the same orientation, and marking the build and the instructions on one corner or side with a tiny piece of tape (or a dot if still in a pre-painting step).

So far so good... until...

VERY nice build an camo well done an yes ive nearly made the decal mistake on american aircraft like the tomcat or that hornet as when its upside down it to me screws up the ole fossilized brain lol so its easly done
