Revell H145 medivac chopper

Bit more progress on the base and started on the homemade decals (first time I've done this), they are a real pain. If you breathe on them they break, the big decal on the motor housing is the 4th attempt as I finally figured out that I would have to cut this into 4 part's all applied separately so it didn't tear. I'm hoping a good coat of gloss will clean it up a little. Pantherman

Yep its not easy, im still thinking there has to be a better watershed paper for a more professional DIY result. But your doing a great job of it and cutting them in sections is thinking outside the box and a great idea.

Is there a pro decal machine? I will google..

Finished for today, those decals took way too long. It's a good job I printed 4 set's.

Still a fair bit left to do but it's starting to take shape at last. Got to have it finished by the end of the month. Pantherman

The detail on the gurney and oxygen bottles is amazing also. When i was medivaced to hospital, they slid me in from the side and my head was right between the two pilots, it was a tight fit. I could feel the pressure around my body. I never opened my eyes during the whole rescue because i did not want to see reality and go into shock emotionally. I kept eyes closed and my mind in a happy place.

Have you seen that style of chopper?

I am so impressed with the detail, freakin awesome man!

Haven't seen that type of chopper but now I'm intrigued . I will have a look.

Thanks for your kind words and a big thank you for helping me with the decals, much obliged. Pantherman

This, of course, is such a fantastic build! Your attention to detail has always been top-notch, my friend. I'm sure the medi team will love this!

Just having a closer look at a recent photo and some of the homemade decals were bothering me. The tail and door decals look a bit blurred so I had a go at redoing the printing for them (first time for that). Also I think I will try a different varnish to stop the ink running when they are applied. Watch this space..........Pantherman 20241030_061503.jpg20241030_061503 (2).jpg
