That is beautiful JMac! I have a 1/72 Sopwith started, I stopped because I lost interest in it. But now I'm gonna drag it back out of the closet! It's inspiring seeing yours. Great job!
And great timing, it's getting close to Chrismas. Everytime I hear "sopwith Camel" I think of the Royal Guardsmen's song "It's Sopwith Camel Time" from Merry Snoopy christmas.
Great work Jason. Terrific rigging. The paintwork and decals also look flawless. I really like the
cut outs through the wing to give the pilot more visability. Bill
Photos are a little off colour wise - you can tell as the background blue is different in each picture. I had bought a desk top photo igloo (diffusion box), and I have not quite figured out the lighting and camera settings yet to get a picture with accurate colours.
Zappa - on some builds I use stretched sprue, nylon fishing line, and a fly fishing product call 'spider line'. This build was done totally with the spider line. The spider line is very flexible, takes CA very well, and is elastic so getting everything taut is easy. Here in Canada, I buy it from a local hardware/outdoors store called Canadian Tire for approximately $4 CAD per 100 foot spool.
