RPM TKW II vignette

Hi All

Fancied something a little bit, well, little, so I bought the RPM TKW II tankette kit and am going for a minimal area vignette.

The kit is a strange one really, the manufacturer is Polish, as are the instructions, which are also quite poorly photo copied sheets. Also the kit includes a full interior, but there are no opening hatches which would enable you to see it! Once you get over these issues the kit is actually pretty good and is the only one available of the tiny tank so you've gotta go with it!

Apart from a bit of head scratching the kit went together well enough and pretty fast too. I went with the rubber band tracks instead of the link and lengths as I plan to display this on rough ground, but had to cut about 6 links out to make them fit.

I will portray a tank in German usage, hence the panzer figure

I've not fully worked out the base yet but am thinking of having the tank climbing the hill side

Hi Guys

Got a bit more achieved this week, decided the base should be a bombed building so made the floor tile, walls and rubble from foam board plus a few more bits of detritus.

Also got the tankette sprayed up, although its a captured tank I went with the Polish camo scheme, with just the German insignia's added. I left the camo a bit rough and ready on purpose as if it was applied in the field in a hurry. The paint is Vallejo and then a couple of filters and a panel line wash have been added

And how it looks together, not finished just yet chipping and weathering still to be completed as well as the figure

Hi Guys

Got finished up with this build, painted up the figure, airbrushed some acrylics to look like dust, and added some pigments to the tank and the base. To make the vinyl tracks follow the base I screwed the tank to the base tight.

Its been a nice change doing such a small vignette, might plane some more!
