Ship/Watercraft - what happened to my Bentley?

Hi all,
as mentioned in my other project (The Hunt) I plan on "abusing" this Revell Bentley into a watercraft.
Besides the Bentley I will also use pieces of the BF-110 which is already missing some pieces.

So I first looked at the basic build of the Bentley
IMG_7215.jpg

and decided to chop it up :)
I cut another "door" opening on theleft side and shortened the side walls considerably

Next I checked how I could turn this nice Bentley into a "watercraft".
Well, I definately want a loooooong hood :)

I added some reenforcing profiles

and started to look into the possible propulsion

That's as far as I got.
What do you think?
Cheers

Intersting idea and I will be watching closely. But wouln't it be more of Sci-Fi?

Very interesting project. Curious to see where it goes. It could certainly become more sci-fi however we'll just watch for now. No worries.

Thank you guys!
Well, let's see if it'll be a watercraft or Sci-Fi - no sweat.

Since the pieces fro my main build were curing, I had some time to play with my "Swamp Thing" (ST) :)

I chopped the wings of the BF110 and positioned them on the ST - this could look nice :)

Then I looked into the hood
IMG_7228.jpg

Then I cut a lot of little strips
IMG_7229.jpg

and constructed some ventilation to the sides
IMG_7232.jpg
IMG_7234.jpg

and then I cut and bent the actual hood
IMG_7236.jpg

I'm quite pleased :D

Thanks guys :)
Unfortunately things didn't go as planned last night, so no images.
But the plan is to give it a shallow hull - like a swamp boat - and put swimmers/pontons at the wing ends...
Well, that's the plan :p

Thanks!

Well, polymer clay curing time for "The Hunt", so I worked on the Swamp Thing :)

So I started to cut the pieces for the shallow hull
IMG_7238.jpg

and used .25mm plastic card to build it out
IMG_7247.jpg
IMG_7248.jpg

the curved sides were a bit more difficult
IMG_7269.jpg
IMG_7272.jpg

and to save me some major hassle, I added a "grille" to the rear end
IMG_7273.jpg

while forming the "nose" was a bit more tideous
IMG_7277.jpg
IMG_7278.jpg

Well, that's as far as I got.

Will be looking forward to seing more of it!

Thanks guys!
Well, I had a very productive weekend and got a lot of work done on the Swamp Thing.

Since the last update I mounted the Bf110 wings
IMG_7283.jpg

Lots of putty needed
IMG_7284.jpg

Also the one edge of the hull didn't look the way I wanted it, so "putty time" it was
IMG_7297.jpg

Speaking of putty, the motor housing had some terrible gaps
IMG_7298.jpg

But I think I pimped them well enough ;D
IMG_7313.jpg

Then I closed off the passenger compartment
IMG_7314.jpg

and then finally mounted the engines
IMG_7316.jpg
IMG_7317.jpg

Started some detailing to the engine mounts,

but now I have to continue with the other entry ;)
Cheers

Nice progress there :)

I just thought what would happen if one of the engines fails at full speed :) now that would funny to watch :)

Hehe, I made sure the rotors don't meet - close but they don't
