Six Day War

This is my most recently completed diorama, I posted a pic in my introduction thread, figured I would share some more pics.
The inspiration came from a video I saw about the last time German made armour from WWII saw combat. Syria got some panzer IVs, Stug IIIs, and some Jadgpanzer IVs from France, Spain, and Czechoslovakia. During the Six Day War in 1967 Syrian panzers went up against IDF shermans in the Golan Heights, I thought this would make an interesting diorama subject.
The panzer IV is the Arab Panzer IV kit #3593 from Dragon. The Sherman is Tamiya's IDF M51, in 1/35 scale. Both are good kits, I had no issues during assembly, and built straight from the box.

Great diorama, lot's of work went into that I bet but the end result is superb. Pantherman

Thanks........ but It's not work if you enjoy it
Although I will says things like assembling tracks and road wheels on German armour can get pretty tedious!

Funny statement considering your last two were a Stug3 and Pz4 in 1/16 LOL.

Maybe they were less tedious in larger size?

I think the larger scale makes for easier handling, so that would translate to a little less tedious. Its the only part of armour builds I don't look forward to.

I agree, the biggest issue (for me) is painting the rubber bits cleanly. Masks work but not perfect on convex/concave surfaces. Tried liquid mask but it is harder to freehand than paint. My best method is freehand though, tried mounting the rim to a stick and turning it, not as good as it seems it would be. So yeah.

Lots of wheels means lots of glitches at my skill level.



Best method (to me) is to hide little mistakes with dirt
