SMA What's New In Your Stash?!?

The box cover did say "Monogram Classics"….. eye roll LOL !
I did notice, but my question was intended as: "When did these originally come out?" :) Funny thing is they give me nostalgic feelings even though I never saw kits like these when I was young.

Went into town today to buy some modelling supplies, but it turned out that one of the shops selling models is now open only on Fridays and Saturdays. Still, I bought plastic strip I was after from a craft shop, who told me they intended to expand their modelling section. I also bought two second-hand books from another shop:

The upper one is aerial photographs of the Netherlands (that's what the title literally translates as) in the 1920s and 30s, the other a Japanese book on Japanese battleships. Even though battleships don't overly interest me and I can read exactly one word of Japanese (円, "yen" :) ), I thought it was too interesting not to buy for the 10 euros they were asking. Anyway, modern technology to the rescue!

This is what the translate app on my iPad makes of it, and it seems to be fairly accurate. It would be pretty laborious to read the whole book that way, though.

Have not seen delivery yet, but is scheduled for this week. I've not built a car in a long time, but will attempt to pbuild the platform from which this was filmed....

Sir Jackie himself in 1971!

I doubt very much this will sit quietly in the closet while I finish ones already started, at least not for long.
