One of my favorite aircraft
One of my favorite aircraft
I've been sort of looking for one, finally got one at a decent price considering what they are going for.One of my favorite aircraft
Definitely going to be gear up, doesn't look right sitting parked on wheels.Never built the Catalina. Wouldn't mind doing one though. I'd hang that bird on my ceiling over my bench. LOL!
Nice. Love takom kits. Pantherman
Tamiya has one. Not Limited Edition either. The Tamiya kit is a great kit.
Such cool things to own, but I suspect they're a nightmare by modern standards to build. Do you plan to build them or are they collectables? As I've mentioned I'm not much of a collector, that said, this is my total stash, so don't laugh!

I'm not a Collector so they will get built. I'm just finishing another Inpact kit and was surprised by the quality and fit for a 1967-68 kit. I've seen a lot worse. The worse thing is the decals are typically not usable due to yellowing and age. The Big T kit was something I use to look at in the front window at a large, local hobby shop in the mid 1960's. It was around $12.00 and seemed like a fortune at the time. A few years ago I ran across this kit and even though it was partially built, I grabbed it. The 34 truck was just bought in a weak moment at H/L during a 40% off sale. The Gurney car was purchased this past weekend, I'm a Gurney fan and had never seen this kit. I'm done at this point as I need to get some of these finished. This Winter should be busy.Such cool things to own, but I suspect they're a nightmare by modern standards to build. That Lotus would make a great project!

Which one did you order? I also have the Gloster Gladiator which is getting close to done.I am curious about the Inpact kits so I just ordered one.
According to Scalemates they are 1/48 and the Hawker Fury I ordered is a 1968 kit. Those Impact kits look quite old, never heard of those before. What scale 1/7 ?
Thanks Tim, so at 1/48 should be a good size .Are they a US based firm ?According to Scalemates they are 1/48 and the Hawker Fury I ordered is a 1968 kit.
