Star Wars Speeder Bike

Hi All
I am working on a Star Wars Speeder Bike kit. Is there anything I can use or pickup at a local store (Michaels or so) to replace the hoses that are on the kit. I would like to use something more realistic.

You could probably use 18 gauge floral wire wrapped with 22-24 gauge aluminum wire for a few of them.
Floral wire is in the floral section, obviously, but the aluminum wire's in the bead/jewelry area.

Rubber cording might also work, though it wouldn't have a ribbed texture.
It's available in 0.5 to 3.0mm diameters, and can be found in the bead/jewelry area as well.

Old guitar strings might be handy, too. Especially bass guitar strings.

I play bass guitar and I always keep my old strings for this type of problem. Bass strings are perfect for various size hoses. Used them on my AT-ST kit, x-wing cockpits, my predator to name a few.
