Having seen an excellent recent built by Tim I was inspired to have a go as never built a bike before. Pantherman

Thanks. It is a nice kit. Colours might not be correct as using my vallejo to get close but as long as it's close enough that will do for me. Didn't like the black wing mirrors so fitted them early and sprayed them red. Pantherman

FYI. Some trouble areas I had were installing the grips and the steering rod (very delicate). Patience is the key here

Moving on now. Got another coat of gunmetal in a few spots plus missed a bit of the spring. Pantherman

Have a question for you Tim. Did you have the "T" section for the front brake pipe in your kit or did you make one? PM

Lookin' good. One suggestion: The phillips head screws are always a distraction on these 1/12 Tamiya kits. (No 1/1 bike is held together with screws.) These can be replaced with the appropriate diameter of AL tube. Then top with an after market scale fastener.
The tubes work great. Glued properly they are sturdy and the front fork will still swivel.
