I've used it right up to last year, still have a tube. I stopped using Revell back in the 60s or 70s cause Testors was easier to find. Then a few years ago I discovered Revell's Contacta liquid and tube, no I am back to Revell tube, liquid and Tamiya thin. Each has a different use for different applications, no one glue works for me.
I still use it, too. I find it useful when I need time to adjust the position of the parts. Sometimes I'll use it to attach windscreens or canopies on aircraft models.
But yeah, it still strings like it did when I was a kid I have to be careful with it.
I still use it. Not exclusively, but a lot. The trick for it is using toothpicks for application and very thin amounts. A little goes a long way. In the past I used it a lot for making filler with scrap sprue trees. Worked great.
