Love the new video Scott, and all the old ones for that matter
Excellent job on the mini Hoth. Mixing Future with light spackle is a great tip, looks very realistic.
When I first started following this build and you said it would be 6 some odd feet long
I knew you were crazy ;D
Scaling it down was a choice idea, much more visually effective.
Wonderful super detailing on the AT-AT. The battle damage came out great.
So are you really going to make the original full size rendition?
Or maybe smaller ones that can piece together like a puzzle to make the whole scene
To answer Maknifiso: I am going to cool the engines on HOTH for a while. I want to do a build up for the GARBAGE category - a pretty big kitbash. And there's Melusine waiting too.
I want to build the large diorama for sure. Problem is transportation and where to put it. I thought about doing several small dioramas this size - like a series that a painter would do. I also considered making it come apart some how but I don't want seams. Not quite sure yet. It will get finished sometime.
YAY!! for new videos..was severely needing a SMA Video fix.
The mini-diorama looks awesome and the snow looked great.
I like the idea of making the diorama out of smaller sections, was thinking to deal with the seams, you just cover them with more snow, making it look like one continuous snow field. Also it would also make it seem like you making more progress.
The Hoth mini-dio came out great, Scott! I like your trick in casting the boulders, adding the color, and breaking them up, and the tip for the snow blocks, too. Lots of great info!
