Tried to break the slump by painting some Games Workshop figures...my kids are really into The Lord of the Rings so I thought I'd paint them up for them. I decided against too much weathering as we will be using them for gaming and no need to get the kids all dirty
I am not exactly thrilled about Legolas...but after three tries, I give up
Elves are just troublesome I guess 

Gimli came out pretty well...

And the men...Boromir and Aragorn...


I think the Mig pigments on his Ranger cloak and jerkin came out awesome...
And the hobbits...was hard to focus on them...first Pippin:

Frodo:

And Sam-- front and back to show off the sausages


Gandalf:

And to complete the set-- here is Sauron done in white metal....

Going to try my hand at a set of elf archers next...these were easily my favorites in the movie-- loved their intricate arms and armor....
