Two Wheeled Vehicle Group Build

Those pieces look really good.
Thanks. My problem will be after I apply the decals I need to spray a gloss but so far my attempts to get a really shiny finish haven't been great. I just bought the vallego polyurethane clear gloss but it was only just shiny much the same as all the others which promised so much.

I might give the humbrol gloss in a rattle can a try. Has anyone used it ?

Does anyone have a "go to" ultra shiny gloss that they use? I'm running out of ideas.

I read some very good reviews on the SMS Ultra Clear Coat 2K. I bought some but haven't used it yet. I am saving it for El Camino build.

Pretty much all the gloss finishes that are safe for plastic are about the same when it comes to the sheen. If you are wanting a more gloss or wet look, it basically comes down to applying several coats, wet sanding between to remove imperfections. Once you have a good build up, it's wet sanding up to 3,000 grit or higher than polishing that gets you there. A lot of auto paints and lacquer paints can be too "hot" for styrene. Back in the day, there use to be a sanding filler clear that you could use to build up a good base before putting on clear so you didn't sand through the gloss coats and could really polish it to a wet look. It's just something that takes a little more time to get right.

Thanks for the advice. PM
