USS Midway. Trumpeter 1/350

I always wanted to build WWII ships, aircraft carriers in particular, but I was too impatient when I started a few years ago. I have settled on WWII planes. But one of these days, I am going to tackle one of these.

@tom dockery, having just stayed with my mom for 3 days so my sister could take her sons to see NYC at CHRIStmas time, I'm sadly a little bit of an expert on this subject. Find a larger scale kit or a different subject. Or don't wait to start it… My mom is 2yrs in to Parkinson's w/ a great neuro. Hers isn't a fast advancing type either. But all those poor taste Michael J Fox and Mohammed Ali jokes, they all fit her now Thankfully, she keeps a great outlook and even throws those jokes around herself, but it's tough to see… Sorry to be a Debbie Downer/Negative Nancy, but if you have this kit and Parkinson's, make a call on it sooner then later…

Good Luck and Happy New Year, May it be filled with Prosperity and Health
Well it took me long enough. I still have a couple of details but am just about finished. I find working on it for short periods of time until the shakes get the best of me. Sorry to hear about your mom no doubt Parkinson's is no joke but gonna challenge it at every turn. Ain't going down without a fight.

Awesome! And I also apologize, I'm new to this, I thought you were answering the OP, not THE OP. It was after I posted the comment I saw the pictures with the flight deck on and realized it was your model… Classic moment of How much shoe can I stuff in my mouth!

Keep fighting it, she is. I'm glad you built this kit, it's one I. Looking to add to my stash. I had the box scale FDR(?) as a kid and loved the look of it. Been waiting yrs to see this come out.

It's ok man. Parkinson's gets personal sometimes. One thing 21yrs in the navy taught me was to never take anything personal and same for me and my PD journey
