USS Saratoga -Miranda Class Heavy Cruiser

Hello Addicts!
This is my USS Saratoga built from the Round 2 1/1000 scale USS Reliant kit.
It's made from one of possibly two test shots provided by Round 2 Models to the admin over on All Scale Trek who asked me to build it.
Round 2 also provided me with a set of their supplemental aztec decals; I also purchased the ParaGrafix photo-etch set.
The model is fully lit with flashing formation and strobe lights courtesy of a Tenacontrols nav/strobe board.
Power is provided by a 12V DC wall adapter.
The model took 4 months to complete.

Hot damn that's nice!!!! It looks great even without the lights turned on. Did you use the Raytheon effect for the registry lights?

I don't normally check the Star Trek stuff out-- but your title caught my eye since I live 10 mins from the Saratoga battlefield- and I am sure glad I did! I really like what you've done here-- these lights are really something! Wish I could pull something like this off but I've no idea where to even start....

Thanks for the compliment! I've built enough of these kits with lights that I pretty much know the steps I need to got thru but these little models can be challenging.
