Just a quick one guys,
Do we have any experts in the field of cutting out vac-formed canopies in the herd?
I would love to talk to someone or even better, see a video of someone cutting these tricky little beggars out.
cheers,

I have'nt dealt with vac formed canopies in small scale .But when I used to build larger RC aircraft I moulded my own canopies .To cut them out I scored around them slightly back from the edge scoring until i cut through the plastic .Then sanded the edge back to were it needed to be .Its better to sand rather than risk cutting lumps out .If you're worried about scratching the glass with the sand paper ,simply cover it with a bit of tape .
Hey Chris,
I usually place a piece of electrical tape around the canopy where I want to score it. The tape acts as a guide for the blade. This works for me most of the time but I was hoping that someone out there in the herd had a better method. I have not had much success sanding them so I tend to cut em out pretty close to where the finished canopy is.
