What I Have Learned So Far

I also might add that i did not read that link, i can summize by comments it may not have been enjoyable to read, to what extent i dont know and dont need to. As a general rule i have practiced if its a forum admin or moderator advising on forum rules then that is ok, they are doing their jobs. Anything outside of that i just try to ignore.

I know I'm not supposed to bring up anything about chemistry since evidently everyone here is too stupid to understand it and , more importantly , they just don't care .
but ,
Both oven cleaner and Super Clean contain sodium hydroxide as the primary ingredient .
Paint strippers too .
The concentrations differ in each product .
Sodium hydroxide will remove all paints , acrylic or alkyd , and is safe on all plastics .
I love your chemistry lessons Keith.

Today i learned that thinner and styrofoam dont play well together lol And that thinner floats on water.

As i have qualified for my 2nd spill badge lol

I was refilling my little bottle of thinner and i put too much which was suspended in the funnel. So i just dumped it in my paint water, it was only about half a cap full.

As i was painting i felt water on my leg and the thinner had eaten through the cup in a perfect circle at the waterline.

Well it made a mess but if i ever need to cut a styro cup in half in a perfect circle i know how lol
