Hi, having just spent 3hrs completely stripping down, cleaning and reassemble my two cheap Chinese airbrushes which are now 4 years old I realised how pleased I was doing it.

Just let the world and it's hassles pass me by while humming the banana splits theme tune (thanks to the bit of fun thread).

So what does everyone else find the most satisfying part of this great hobby????

For me it's when I get to that point in a build where I empty a sprue tree. Nothing like the feeling of progress than taking that last part off a sprue.

I agree with TimM63, cutting away that last part on a sprue :)
My last three builds have been 1/16 armour with full interiors ........ so many, many sprues.

I'm 58 years old, and opening the box for the first time still makes me feel like a kid on Christmas morning.

I enjoy the whole process. It's hard to pin point the one thing that is the most satisfying, but I would probably have to say any time you get into the zone and everything is going together like a well oiled machine. Everything around you melts away and you are honed in to that exact moment in the present.

Well put! Psychologists call that a state of flow, flamenco gypsies call that 'Duende', athletes call it 'in the zone'.
I call it 'lost in a build'. "I'll be done in one minute sweetheart" turns into 90... in the flash of a second.
