I'm about to do the thrusters, my major problem for the moment is the masking tape that won't peal away from the wooden frame. That's a real pain in the ...

One last saw dust on all of the real sand ground and we'll be done.

But at least they have " folder " upload option now and you don't have to herd pics in one-by-one : ,, other than that it's still the same bugged-up site

Yeah, you can use the old AMT kits for this kind of purpose.
Even with the old X wings, Tie Fighters or AT AT... The one seen in SW VII should be easy enough to complete and weathered to build a cool diorama.

I think i've seen it. Done with the resin kit, a lot of details and even a panorama that should have been the one for the movie. IMHO

Yes, I'll send you some pictures since my build is done here (even though the frame is not like i want it to be...).
