WWII Pacific Navy aircraft in 1/72

Here's my homemade prop blurs….

I scratch built this one as torpedo being released using scrap clear sprues. Pretty cool, eh?

I will definitely have to give it a go

I finally finished up the Corsair adding the antenna bases and rockets and a ew other delicate details that were left off so they did not break when painting/decaling

Although somewhere along the way I lost two of the rockets, so count them as already having been fired

I also made the mistake of missing the "drill holes" step for the launchers, so it was hard finding the places after the fact, and I got the alignment a bit askew as a result. Live and learn to pay better attention to those steps before gluing everything together

With my eyes, the 1/72 class seems like pain.

Took a break from the Star Wars group build to get closer to finishing this. Still not 100% done. Need to print out a rear gunner figure and make some adjustments to the pose to fit in there with the machine gun and also need to add a few fragile surface details that I don't want breaking while finishing decals and weathering and the bomb mechanism etc.. but at l got most of the weathering done and the major decals on

The dive flaps/brakes whatever are actually plastic. I mistakenly thought there was photo-etch but there is not. Although I find it hard to improve on these plastic parts anyway, especially for this scale. The plastic is very thin and in scale looking and has more 3-d details than photo-etch would have anyway. Pretty impressed with this kit
