Zoukei-mura 1/32 Fw 190 A-4

I'm finishing up this model and I get all the decals done and I'm going to go out back and clear coat it. Now let me start off with at the beginning that I believe in karma. There is a reason why stupid things happen in life but we don't find out why that stupid thing happened until later on. You follow? So when I'm building this FW 190 and the engine doesn't fit in properly? If you follow this build you will know what I'm talking about or you can just scroll back. So I had to do a little bit of work to everything on the front which made it practically indestructible but it's still pissed me off cuz I had to ruin a good model. At least ruin the insides where you can't see. So I'm going to go out back and clear coat and I stuck a piece of stiff wire and stuck it in the rear tail wheel area to see if I can hang it and spray the clear. Yeah that looks great and feels nice and sturdy. So I took it out to get it out back and I'm getting ready to spray it and I stick the wire back in it and my brain says I don't think that's in Far Enough. I hung it up on the nail it's hanging upside down from the tail wheel and I'm like this wire isn't in enough and just then it goes tink... and Falls straight down onto the concrete and I watched pieces fly everywhere. Wait a minute. That's just two door flaps and the body and the engine came off in four pieces. I can't even find a scratch on the plane where it hit the ground so this last picture is a picture of it glued back together and I gave it a wash of light gray and wait for that to dry as I open my next model which really has me excited like a little kid

Thank you bb. Yeah I went to Andy's HH to get some flat white and flat black and when I walked in the door and they're on the shelf for new items it was sitting there just staring at me, just begging me to come look at me please come look at me.

Well done Rob!

Not sure if you noticed, but I drop my 1/32 Zoukei Mura Bf109 onto the concrete floor recently too.

Mine did not fare as well. It is not a write-off, but it is pretty bad. I just put it into a box and stuck it in the closet. This was about 2 months ago. I did take it out to examine recently, but after about 2 minutes I just put it away again. Too soon.

I'm going to use your story as a method to heal. I want to finish up my 1/32 Zoukei Mura J2M3 first, getting close to painting the exterior.

Very nice clean build. Well done.
P.S Don't let Pantherman see the paint bottles all out of sequence. It might send him into Antiepileptic Shock.

Thanks. I'm telling you weathering can hide a lot of mistakes. That's funny about Panther man I didn't know that. I might have to look closer at his builds but I do know every time I look at his builds everything is nice and neat. Nothing out of place. Everything has its spot. Yeah my paints I just bought that rack and they fit Tamia's bottle nicely. You just can't see what it is once you stick it in so that's why I put the tape with numbers on the lid. And yes I was going to do it sequentially but I just wanted to set it up quickly so I can have some Elbow Room. You have to realize though, even if I set it up sequentially it still doesn't make sense according to the colors. For example. X4 x 23 and x14 are all blue colors shouldn't all the blues being sequential numbers? But they're not so it doesn't make sense

I'm done except for the antenna wire. I didn't really scuff it up in fact I'm kind of burned out on it. Always at the end it seems to become a struggle cuz I just want to get to the next building of a model. I have to admit I did learn some things. Like the white on the camouflage. I imagine that is done when winter hits and they spray white over the summer camouflage. I could have executed that illusion a lot better. And I look at it and I just say it's missing something. Whether it's darker panel lines or something I just can't figure it out yet what do y'all think?
