Pink is so yesterday. Red is today !!

These group builds are alot of fun. It's nice to compare and learn from each other.
I'm kind of digging the WWI planes too. I found a WWI tank on amazon I might try at a later date. Do you remember the title of the show you saw? It sounds interesting.
It was The lafayette squadron. Well worth a look. Pantherman

I guess that depends on what's in the pipe. LOL
Very true. That one is my Meerschaum pipe from the 1960s. Then I have 7 more different pipes, all vintage except 2.

My dad smokes pipes for years. He got rid of the all when he quit.

Dad died 10 years ago, and I still miss him everyday.
His funeral was filled with so many police officers from a few different agencies. What really got me was the 21 gun salute... I lost it then, and just broke down.

Dad joined the Houston PD in 1964, the same year I was born. He was there for 20 years. He started out in the K-9 division, I was about 2 years old at that time. Blitz was a great dog.
Then dad had a partner, David Nole, for many years. Unfortunately David was killed trying to break up a bar fight.
I heard he was stabbed in that fight.

I really had a great childhood growing up under the Thin Blue Line, so much I joined with Harris County. ;) :)

Dad was my hero...

A little more done, thought I would post a photo of baby Eduard fokker next to his big brother Revell fokker. Pantherman

So I have primed and base coated the wood parts, also primed the major parts white and then one coat of Tamiya red on the 1/48 Eduard fokker.

The Revell 1/28 is waiting for decals and final gloss top coat. 20231023_205156.jpg20231023_205203.jpg20231023_205250.jpgPantherman

Yeah, it gives real meaning to the phrase "it's not the size that matters, it's what you do with it ". I can't find a cross-eyed emoji. Pantherman
