I'm sitting here at work, and had an idea for the cabling. I think an electric guitar string might work. I've got an old e string that might be thin and rigid enough.
If it works, I'll post pics.

Ok. Here's the results. It's a bit messy at the moment. I just wanted to see if it would work. Looks like it will be perfect for me.
They are very shiny so I'll probably paint them a dark brown with a touch of black.

The props were timber so most varied in colour. If you're OK with it then it looks fine.

I accidentally covered the blondish part.

I've been able to get a little more work completed.
The top wing was very fickle. I suggest attaching the braces to the wings first then while the glue is just almost set it might be easier to put into place on the fuselage.
