Finally got back to this build. Done some priming and shading. Got the base down for the fuselage woodwork. Getting there at last but alot to do tomorrow hopefully. PanthermanRepainted the engine pipework and got the fuselage together. Bit of filler needed on the belly, might need a little on the top seam as well. I think you and I are at the same spot on this build.
The woodgrain is brilliant, definitely looking like mahogany. PanthermanGot a little more done. I did the woodgrain today, I'm fairly happy with the outcome of it. I was trying for a mahogany wood.

Thanks for the advice. PanthermanThank you.
Be careful with the decals, they are very thin. I had a lot of trouble with the one for the tail. If this is how all of them are, I'm going to go mad.
I applied Mr. Mark Softer in hopes that the wrinkles diminish.

Is the tail fitted as it looks like it needs a little levelling up with the wing. I made that error when building the 1/24 revell fokker and it just bugged me until I put it right. PanthermanThis is where I am stopping for the night.
I'm dreading attaching the threads.
Believe me, I thought about it.
If it didn't set like I hope, then I'm going to paint it on.
I might do that anyway.

It's not glued down, I just set it there. Is the tail fitted as it looks like it needs a little levelling up with the wing. I made that error when building the 1/24 revell fokker and it just bugged me until I put it right. Pantherman
That looks completely different, much better. PanthermanMr. Mark Softer worked on melting the decal down.
Now for the other side.
I'm definitely not a fan of working with these flimsy decals. However, being as thin as they are, the decals suck-down really well.
