Nice weathering, I like it. PanthermanI got the first layer of weathering done on the lower hull. I think I'll still play around with it some more, the vertical streaks I first added with oil paint got obscured with the pigment layer.View attachment 118709View attachment 118710
I'm in no rush to start the mind numbing task of track assembly anyway.
Definitely worth the effort, they look great. PanthermanI got to give a thumbs up to Das Werk for the tracks on this kit. Yes, the assembly was tedious and time consuming, but it wasn't a pain in the a$$ like I was expecting. I just put on some Black Sabbath. (original Sabbath with Ozzy, of course, because Sabbath sucks without Ozzy and Ozzy sucks without Sabbath. ) grabbed a beer and had at it.
I had them assembled in a few hours. I took another two days to get them painted, weathered and mounted. View attachment 118895View attachment 118896View attachment 118897
Final weathering will be completed when the upper hull is installed.
They are great reference books, well worth the cost. PanthermanThanks everyone......almost done with the assembly. The painting and weathering have become my favorite parts of a build these days.View attachment 118974
This book has been a great resource. There are more volumes but are hard to find.
Thanks guys.....got more tools, accessories to paint and put on. Then I'll have to be careful about over doing the paint chipping and weathering, I have fun doing it so it will be hard to stop.
Doing a great job. PanthermanGot the camo painted, started on the tools, and got the initial weathering started. View attachment 119471View attachment 119472View attachment 119473
